PROVIDENCE UPDATE

When childhood best friend, Deon, came through Providence with Roger on way home from Yuma to Oregon she, two other high school friends and I met for lunch at new restaurant in North Logan. We talked as fast as we could to catch up and it was fun to see them again.

I love this darling new patio dress (with bees) on it that Sunshine made for me to lounge around it on Sunday afternoons or at night while eating bon bons, bread and honey.

I guess I took my winter front porch wreath down too early to hang up my spring floral arrangement because papa and mama bird decided it was a fine place to build a huge nest in it. Did they think I would like that? No, I have to deal with those pesky doves in Green Valley who make constant messes with the nests they build high in my tree next to my front door entrance. If I had my grand kids coming over each week to see it that might have been a different story, but alas.....

Some dear neighbors came to help me with some heavy duty yard work last Saturday and I'm so thankful for their willingness to give me a hand. I've spent several weeks cleaning up the winter refuse, dead plants, getting grasses out of roses and peonies , preemergents on gardens, and weed and feeding lawn that really took a hit from all the dead leaves that weren't raked up last fall. Ryan has transplanted some raspberries, raked up piles and piles of matted leaves. Holly helped me put dad's large chests back under work bench and tidied up a bit. Someone left the garage freezer slightly ajar and it doubled the amount of frost already in it. It took three hours to unload, defrost using three steaming water pans and organize when reloading. It nearly did me in!!!! But so glad it's done.

Congrats to Hannah! She was elected vice president of her senior class for next year. Good Going Hannah!!

Ryan and Rachel aren't lifting up Gloria's paint brushes this year on their summer vacation. Rather, they have chosen to fly to New Zealand for the next two weeks and of course hoping that that won't come home with a baby boy with duel citizenship. She's due July 10.

Have a beautiful new capped tooth now after much repair last fall, this spring and then completion last week. Also got a new power head for central vacuum system. Jesse and Katie fixed it last year, but when Ryan used it last month it melted and died. So after lots of searching for a dealer this side of Mason Dixon line I finally got that problem resolved.
