Green Valley Renovation

Terry (handyman) begins repairing the wood facing on front wall due to damage from water rot. He thought it was going to be an easy fix, HA! But many days later and lots of #@*&%+% ( I could hear him) he got the job done to my satisfaction and certainly earned his pay (he wants my recommendation to others in neighborhood).

With that tree there it was much easier to cut, prime, treat, and paint on driveway rather than on ladder.

The wood wall behind the tree looked like this due to extreme heat and monsoon rains so it had to be replaced by two handymen a lot stronger than me.

Roof fence scraped, primed and painted so golfers couldn't see the AC/furnace unit from golf course (might not hit that hole in 12. White to match inside and Mesa Tan on outside to match rest of house (HOA is very fussy down here. Disintegrated bocks beneath utility lines were replaced, treated, painted and installed on roof.

Glad it's done and hope that's it in the repair column for awhile.

I called Doyle yesterday on his 75th birthday and he's recovering fairly well although he and Linda haven't gotten very much sleep as he's been having panic attacks every night (common in 30% of post ops). He certainly didn't sound like himself and we talked about dad quite a bit.

Atticus is not liking radiation treatments and is having negative side effects to the Prednisone they have him to try to shrink tumor. Becky returned home last night and Bethany is taking two weeks vacation to fly down to help next week.

Have been walking 2.2 mi each day for the past two weeks - 75 degrees today. Am still at 91.o
