Movers are coming!

It's been a long busy month! After 2 months waiting we got an offer on our house. Now we wait on closing. Meanwhile we found a perfect house for us. It' s much larger- 6 bedrooms and 3500 sq feet for space. I picked up keys yesterday.   We move in on Friday!!!!

We spent yesterday packing and setting up utilities. Today we found out they didn't on, nor did they plan to repaint 2 rooms of the house. . We quickly went and replenished supplies and went to the house to get primer on the walls. After 2 coats we can still see the original paint...... Sigh! Tomorrow we add more primer in the morning and color in the evening! (aparently no one wants the hot pink bedroom!!!)

They also replaced the refrigerator with a new smaller one, so we spent the day scrambling to find a suitable replacement! Brooke and Hyun will pick it up tomorrow.

The kids are all excited to move - they will all have their own rooms a and plenty of yard work since the yard needs lots of attention!

All this comes on the heels of North American Nationals-  Taryn & I pent a week in Anaheim and just returned monday. I spent the week next to the biggest Dress designer in the Irish Dance world and his head seamstress was impressed with my dresses!  Taryn got to dance on the beach, hang out with TapTronic and meet up with old dance friends. Her teachers said " To be able to represent your school at a National level is an achievement in itself , The National Championships is the Worlds with a different name you share the stage with some of the most talented dancers across the world and everyone one of our dancers held there own and deserved to be there. We were very proud"

HUGE BUMP IN THE ROAD

On late afternoon on 4th of July south of Pocatello, ID, Justin and Katie's previously reliable minivan had had enough and blew her top (er, rather radiator, gaskets, water pump, etc) and had to be towed to Logan.  Uncle Ryan and Grandma Gloria (driving 30-40 mph to Tremonton) helped with rescue of family while Justin rode to Logan with Mr. Tow Man.  Had to wait until Saturday morning to have radiator installed which allowed further diagnosis of sick car.  J/K spent lots of time online searching for other options in the preowned Toyota van category.

Blonds helped Aunt Holly wash her dirty car and Justin, Katie, and Drew helped Grandma Gloria with a few things.

Justin was able to shoot a ball in bucket

after he had figured out that this

was not a very professional

golfers stance he had tried earlier.  Good Going, son, you're a fast learner and an excellent athlete!!!!

Katelyn entertained us with bucket drums and there are no blond girls jokes to follow.  Good Going, Katelyn - you show promise!

Games and cards entertained us during evening hours and after a dry spell HollySue came alive and creamed us one hand after another.  The table raucous was noted by downstairs resident  Ryan as he listened to all the fun while his wife slept.  Due date -  2 days.   Not only was Justin getting peeved at his poor hands, but Katie and Gloria woke up and soon we gave Holly a run at the finish line.  We all were able to take the victory lap several times around the house.

When Justin and Katie received the news that it would cost thousands to repair car, we spent the rest of Saturday shopping for another preowned.  Found a beauty in Layton but it was too late to buy a hitch or rent a U-haul to take the four bikes home.  So those two put their heads together and got all bikes in the car.  I couldn't believe it and dad would have been proud as he was a master packer.  Holly stayed with kids all day - took them out to eat lunch, and for shakes and then pizza at night.  Then she let them use her Wii so they think she's the greatest!

Here they are on Sunday morning ready to leave.  They had a smooth ride all the way except that poor Katelyn got car sick in Logan Canyon (like Rebecca did with us) and threw up all over her and seat.  So I guess the car has really be initiated now.  They made their deadline of getting Drew to Scout Camp this morning and be ready to entertain two separate family friends one after another during this week.  Good Going, you did it!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

I can't tell you how happy it makes me to walk into the tidied storage room now.  I can actually find the things I'm looking for now.  Order is wonderful!!!

Hyun's projects for me were completed and he was needed at home so he took the Salt Lake Shuttle to the airport early on Mon. morning and then a flight to Phoenix and to Tucson where he met the Howells Shuttle to home.  He'll now have to adjust to even warmer weather and noisier home.

I had another checkup yesterday afternoon and my surgeon said the eye is looking good (inside)  though not so much on surface.  I was glad to hear that.  He said that it takes  a long time for the retina to heal - up to six months and I won't be able to get new RX for eye glasses for probably two more months.

I'm trying to deal with heat breaking temperatures as I'm sure most of you are.  Doing yard work early in morning.  Picking strawberries and now raspberries is so enjoyable for me to add them to my cereal and yogurt.

I'm trying to get weight back up to 90 where I was all last year, but I was at 83 two weeks ago and I've gained a couple of pounds since then.   Still trying to text with basic phone that doesn't have keyboard, but I've done okay with sending messages back and forth with Holly and Lance.  Will see how it goes.
