Weigh-In Wednesday

First of all, Happy 12th birthday to Taegan yesterday. Wow, where did those years go?????

I've been so busy since I returned from Hamilton on Sunday. I knew a hard freeze was coming this week so I've been working like crazy. I picked all the remaining cucumbers, grapes strawberries and beets in ground then pulled the cuc vines out and piled them for removal. I've done a lot of pear/apple topping which I eat a lot of. I've done 7 quarts of apples, picked the huge ripe tomatoes that are low acid then covered the plant which still had some green ones on it. Glad I did as it got down to 23 last night. Today I've picked a lot of apples and I froze them for yogurt, pies and cakes. I also made R,R and I some yogurt today, poured orange lollis for trick or treaters, and made Holly an apple pie.

Ryan did a super job preparing the new raspberry area on north side garden. I was thrilled when I arrived home and saw that he really went the extra mile with this project. He cut and took many butternut squash to garage and pulled all the vines out. Holly's coming over tomorrow to help tie up raspberry stems, etc and then Ryan and I will transplant all those raspberries starts to their new place in garden. The high yesterday and today was 49 - quite a change from the lovely low 70's of Sun and Mon. Oh well, winter's coming and we snowbirds will be flying south.

I've tried to add photos of my tomatoes, but icon won't work. It's a good thing I wasn't having my official portrait taken in Hamilton because some baggage handier (assumption) must have thought it was a long cylindrical bomb and removed it from my luggage. Jesse nor Rebecca own a curling iron, so I looked terrible. I just finished making a claim with Delta.

I weigh a nice round 90.
